Python breitensteini — həmçinin Borneo qısa quyruqlu pitonu kimi tanınan, Pythonidae ailəsinə aid zəhərsiz bir ilan növü. Bu növ Borneo adasına endemikdir.[3][4]

Bir müddət Python curtus yarımnövü hesab edilən P. breitensteini, Keogh, Barker və Shine (2001) tərəfindən tam bir növ olaraq yenidən qaldırıldı.[5] Breitensteini xüsusi adı, Borneoda amfibiya və sürünənləri toplayan alman həkimi və təbiətşünası Heinrich Breitensteinin şərəfinə adlandırılmışdır.[6]
