Eleonora Barraklaf

Eleonora Rozamunda Barraklaf əsasən orta əsr şimal mədəniyyətləri, ədəbiyyatları və dillərini, xüsusilə də Vikinq dövrü tarixi və Qədim Norveç-İslandiya ədəbiyyatını araşdırır. O, "Əllərin közü: Vikinq dövrünün gizli tarixl" (2024) ^[2] və "Şimal diyarının hüdudlarından Kənar: Vikinq səfərləri və qədim Norveç əfsanələri (2016) adlı kitabların müəllifidir.^[3] Həmçinin "Qeyri-adi Şimalın Təsviri" (2016) adlı kitabın həmmüəlliflərindən biridir.^[4]

Barraklaf Kembric Universitetində Anqlo-Sakson, Norveç və Kelt bölməsində təhsil alıb və burada Kembric magistr dərəcəsini, fəlsəfə dərəcəsini və fəlsəfə doktorluğunu əldə edib.^[5] Daha sonra Oksford Universitetinə keçərək İngilis dili fakültəsində Leverxalm Erkən Karyera Təqaüdçüsü,^[6] həmçinin Kvins Kollecdə Qeyri-adi Gənc Tədqiqat təqaüdçüsü olub.^[7] Daha sonra Darem Universitetində Orta əsrlər tarixi və ədəbiyyatı üzrə dosent vəzifəsində çalışıb.^[8] Hal-hazırda Bas Spa Universitetində ətraf mühit tarixi üzrə baş müəllimdir.^[9]

2020–2024-cü illər arasında o, AHRC (İncəsənət və Humanitar Elmlər Tədqiqat Şurası) rəhbərlik qrantına sahib olub^[10] və erkən şimal German mədəniyyətlərində meşələrin rolu ilə bağlı multidissiplinar bir araşdırma aparıb.
