Tet hücumu

Tet hücumu (ing. Tet Offensive; vyet. Sự kiện Tết Mậu Thân 1968, hərf. "1968 Yanq Torpaq Meymun Tet hadisəsi", həmçinin Tổng tiến công và nổi dậy, Tết Mậu Thân 1968, "Tet Mau Than ümumi hücum və qiyamı") — Vyetnam müharibəsinin böyük eskalasiyası və ən böyük hərbi kampaniyalarından biri. Cənubi Vyetnam Milli Azadlıq Cəbhəsi (CVMAC) və Şimali Vyetnam Xalq Ordusu (VXO) 30 yanvar 1968-ci ildə Cənubi Vyetnamın Vyetnam Respublikası Ordusunun (VRO), Birləşmiş Ştatlar Silahlı Qüvvələrinə və onların müttəfiqlərinə qarşı gizli hücuma keçmişdilər. Bu, Cənubi Vyetnamda hərbi və mülki komandanlıq və nəzarət mərkəzlərinə qarşı qəfil hücumlar kampaniyası idi. Hanoy politbürosunun genişmiqyaslı hücumunun məqsədi şəhər mərkəzlərinə kütləvi silahlı hücum təşkil edərək fərarilik və üsyanlara səbəb olacağına inandıqları bir siyasi sabitsizlik tətikləmək idi.

"Tet hücumu" termini adətən 1968-ci ilin yanvar–fevral hücumuna aiddir, lakin o, may ayında baş vermiş "" adlanan hücumu və avqustda , həmçinin yanvar ayında baş tutmuş ilkin hücumlardan sonra 21 həftə davam etmiş qeyri-adi dərəcədə intensiv olan döyüşləri də əhatə edə bilər.

Tet hücumu müharibənin dönüş nöqtəsi hesab olunur, bundan sonra ABŞ-də ictimai rəy Vyetnamda qələbənin mümkünlüyünə inamını itirmişdi.
