Həyatı
Joffrua Jan de Villarduenin və Selin de Brielin ən böyük oğlu idi. O, Elizabet adlı bir qadınla evlənmişdir. Joffrua marşal və salnaməçi qardaşı oğlu idi və əmisi ilə birlikdə Dördüncü Səlib yürüşünə çıxmışdı.
