On September 15, 1937 General Abdul Niyaz of the 6th #Uyghur Division was arrested in Yarkent county of East #Turkistan and murdered in Urumqi by Sheng Shicai's Soviet Union backed forces for rebelling against #Chinese invaders in a bid to restore East Turkistan's Independence.
