English: Tokyo, Ueno Park National Industrial Exhibition Museum Map. This is an Art gallery. The interior of Hayashi Tadahiro's building for the first National Industrial Exhibition in Ueno Park, Tokyo, later incorporated into the original Honkan of the Imperial Museum, later the Tokyo National Museum. Commentary: The National Industrial Exhibition is an exposition held as part of the policy of the breeding industry during the Meiji era. The expositions held before that, such as the exposition at Yushima Seido in 1897, focused on showing rare antiques. However, as the name suggests, the National Industrial Exhibition aims to foster industry, and the antiques of calligraphy and painting have been transformed into "art." The 1st National Industrial Exhibition was held at the site of Kanei-ji Temple in Ueno in the 10th year of the Meiji era. Exhibition facilities such as the East-West Main Building, Museum, Machinery Museum, Agriculture Museum, Animal Museum, and Horticultural Museum are lined up. Above all, the museum is located in the center of the venue, and while the other buildings are made of temporary wood, it was built of brick, which shows that it played a symbolic role of the exposition.
