Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights with Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:
  • (a) the ideas, theories, concepts, scientific discoveries, procedures, working methods, or mathematical concepts as such and inventions, contained in a work, whatever the manner of the adoption, writing, explanation or expression thereof;

  • (e) news and press information;
  • (f) simple facts and data.

Also, according to Chapter 10 Article 85 Paragraph 2,

  • The photographs of letters, deeds, documents of any kind, technical drawings and other similar papers shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Română: Descrierea stemei:

Stema municipiului Hunedoara, potrivit anexei nr. 7, se compune dintr-un scut tăiat; în partea superioară, pe fond albastru, o construcţie impunătoare de argint. Partea inferioară, despicată, cuprinde în dreapta, pe fond de aur, un corb negru care ţine în cioc un inel de aur cu o piatră roşie şi care stă pe o crenguţă verde de stejar, având două frunze şi două ghinde; în stânga, pe fond roşu, vasul specific pentru metalurgie, de aur, în poziţie de curgere a metalului, şi trei stele din acelaşi metal. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint, formată din şapte turnuri crenelate.

Semnificaţia elementelor însumate:

- construcţia - castelul corvineştilor aminteşte de trecutul istoric;

- corbul cu inel în cioc, preluat din stema lui Iancu de Hunedoara, face parte din tradiţia heraldică a aşezării;

- elementele din ultimul cartier evocă activitatea metalurgică.
