This work was first published in Azerbaijan and is now in the public domain because its copyright protection has expired by virtue of the , enacted 1996, amended 2008. The work meets one of the following criteria:

It is a a posthumous work, published at first time during 30 years and 70 years have passed since the date of its publication
The Article 25.3 (amendment) was added in 2008: “Duration of protection determined by this Law shall be applied to all works of which term of protection has not expired until this Law enters into force”. Works of authors who died in 1970 or earlier, or anonymous works published 1970 or earlier, are public domain in Azerbaijan.

Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term.
