Yeddinçi simfoniya Volfqanq Amadey Motsartın ailəsi Moraviyanın Olomouts və Brno şəhərlərindən qayıtdıqdan sonra yazılmış və 1768-ci ildə Vyanada tamamlanmışdır. Ehtimal olunur ki, bu simfoniyanın ilk premyerası özəl konsertlərin birində baş tutmuşdur.^[1] Simfoniyanın əlyazması hazırda Berlində Preusischer Kulturbesitz kitabxanasında saxlanılır.^[2] 1768-ci ilin iyul ayında Volfqanq Amadey Motsart bu simfoniyanı yenidən işləmişdir, bu zaman karnizlərin və timpanilərin silinməsi. fleyta və bassonların əlavə edilməsi heyrətamizdir; bu Motsartın bu əsəri komik bir musiqi əsəri üçün zəruri hesab etməməsi ilə əlaqəli ola bilər.^[3].
