Hello, as a native German speaking I was really shocked when I read the article about Berti Vogts in the Azerbaijani Wikipedia. It is common between Latin written languages to write names in their original forms. Transcriptions are used only for Cyrillic or Arabic written names. Because of this in German Wikipedia we write Azerbaijani names in ther original Azerbaijani form and don't use any modifications. [1] It is a kind of respect against Azerbaijani language and culture. Please do the same with German names. It seems very brutal to us to read things like "Foqts", sorry. It is not better than russifications of Azerbaijani names.
