I'm still not sure whether he enjoys these hikes or not. But he's getting more used to them. There were a lot of Koreans at the Ski Hut when we were there. Winter Koreans appear to be more friendly and outgoing than trail Koreans the rest of the year, and they often asked about Cisco. I would tell them he was a Jindo and their eyes would light up and they would get very excited. This is always the reaction when a Korean person meets Cisco. I guess Jindo dogs have a special place in the national consciousness of Koreans. Later as he got bigger than any Jindo, I decided he was probably an Australian cattle dog instead. Cisco laid on a poncho I spread out for him on the snow. I tried to get him to lay on the Z-Lite ass protector, but he wouldn't do it. I guess his thick double coat of fur keeps him warm enough in the snow, since he never seemed uncomfortable. |
