There is no confirmation that the photograph is attributed to TASS. When published in "Pravda" on February 27, 1946, only the photographer's name was given: G. Weil (Г. Вайль). It is known that Weil had been collaborating with TASS since 1951. In any case, collaboration does not make his works TASS property without appropriate acknowledgment upon publication. This photograph is not available in TASS's own photo bank; the uploader did not submit any publications attributing the photo to TASS, and the search did not find any. Therefore, the legitimate author of the photograph should be considered Georgy Mikhailovich Weil (Георгий Михайлович Вайль), who, according to the website of the State Historical Museum of Russia, died no earlier than 1983. Consequently, the photograph is copyrighted in Russia until at least 2058 (1984+74).
