Almaniyadakı türklər Türkiyədən köçüb Almaniyaya yerləşmiş türklərdir. Almaniyadakı türklər, geniş tərifi ilə Almaniyada doğulmuş türkləri əhatə edir. İlkcə almanlar olaraq təyin olunan qrup bu gün mənfi məna daşıyan bu sifəti qəbul etmir. Qürbətçilərin tərifi isə yaşadıqları ölkədə daimi sakin olmuş, müxtəlif peşələrlə məşğul olan və bəziləri də ölkə vətəndaşı olmuş yeni nəsil türkləri tam ifadə etmir. yaşayırlar. Son 40 ildə Türkiyədən Almaniyaya təxminən üç milyon insan köç edib.

Almaniyadakı əcnəbilərə ilk növbədə almanca yad(xarici) qonaq işçilər (Gastarbeiter) deyilir. Alman toplumu Almaniyaya İşçi alımı ilə gələn insanlara yalnız iş üçün gələn qonaq kimi baxırdı. Bu gün qloballaşmanın təsiri və buna uyğun olaraq sosial anlayışın inkişafı ilə onları “yad vətəndaşlar” (Ausländische Mitbürger) adlandırırlar.
