Remi Mathis

Je m'appelle Rémi Mathis, habite Paris et suis conservateur à la BnF. Je suis utilisateur de la wikipedia francophone depuis 2006, administrateur depuis octobre 2007 et j'ai été nommé "Wikipédien de l'année" en 2013. J'ai été membre du conseil d'administration (2009-2011) et président (2011-2014) de Wikimédia France, puis président de son conseil scientifique (2014-2017). J'ai quitté cette structure après les violences et le harcèlement de l'été 2017, et la totale absence de réaction de la Wikimedia Foundation (dont le président est une des personnes contre qui une des victimes a porté plainte pour harcèlement, pour des faits datant de sa présence à Wikimédia France).

My name is Rémi Mathis, I live in Paris and am a curator at the French national Library. I have been a user of the French wikipedia since 2006, a sysop since october 2007 and have been nominated "Wikipedian of the Year" in 2013. I have been a member (2009-2011), then chair (2011-2014) of the board of Wikimedia France and then chair of its committee. I left this organization in 2017, given the the violence and harassment which took place, and the total lack of reaction from the Wikimedia Foundation (one of the main victim had filed a complaint against its chair, for his behaviour at the time he was at Wikimedia France) against it.
