About me

I am Nodir from Kyrgyzstan. Currently I am a PhD student in the Global Development Studies program at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada.

I received a Specialist Diploma in management (2011) from the Alatoo International University in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and a Master of Arts degree in economic policy (2013) from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. I have ten years' experience in the development aid sector, having worked for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), ACTED, and Family Health International 360 (FHI 360).

When I'm not editing, you are likely to find me (and ), watching my favorite movies and shows (and ), or reading books.

My work

I have been contributing to Wikimedia projects since 2009. I am primarily active on the English, Russian, Turkish, and Uzbek Wikipedias, as well as on Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. I also assist in translating and localizing WMF projects, particularly through translatewiki.net.

In 2020, I founded the Wikimedians of the Uzbek Language User Group. Since 2022 I have served as a member of the CEE and Central Asia Committee.

I established Uzbek Wikipedia's , (formerly Twitter), and pages and also co-administer its page. For the YouTube channel I have recorded professionally edited on contributing to wiki projects.
