I'm Mervat (She/Her) a passionate Wikipedian, writer, and translator. I edit both Arabic and English Wikipedias and I do some edits in Wikidata. I am a co-founder of the Wikimedians of the Levant user group and currently a board member. I was an active member of Arabic Wikipedia's social networking team, currently a member of the Conference Grants Review Committee (volunteer) since 2016, and a member of the Elections Committee. Established the Wiki for She user group in 2024.

I started editing Wikipedia officially in August 2012, and I have been active on-wiki and off-wiki since then. I am an admin and a Bureaucrat as well. I have experience in managing and running editathons and wiki contests, and managed to establish good relations with wikimedians in different communities and affiliates. Volunteered with the Movement Strategy Community Health Working Group. Worked as a community facilitator with the WMF CoC and MSG teams from 2019 to 2023. Currenly, I am a WiR with WIPO.
