GFontenelle (WMF)

About me
I've been a Wikimedian since 2016, editing as a volunteer and Wikimedian-in-Residence using the GiFontenelle account. I'm also a Wiki Movimento Brasil (WMB) member and, in 2020, was the Projects Manager for the user group using the GFontenelle (WMB) account.
I’m very active on Wikipedia in Portuguese, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata, mainly carrying out activities with collections from GLAM institutions or with Education programs. I'm also an Open Knowledge activist, as a Creative Commons Global Network member. In 2020 and 2021, I was the Wikimedia and Open GLAM Coordinator for Creative Commons Brasil and, in 2022, I acted as the General Coordinator for the group. I also enjoy planning events to decrease the gender gap on Wikipedia and co-funded the WikiMulheres+ group.
I'm a Journalist, Historian, and Educator who enjoys Art and English literature very much. I'm based in São Paulo, Brazil (GMT-3).
My work
In November 2020, I joined the Wikimedia Foundation to work as a Senior GLAM-Wiki Specialist (part-time, contractor). Since March 2021, I'm a full-time Program Officer, Culture and Heritage as part of the Content Enablement team (previously known as Culture and Heritage), which works within Community Programs larger team. I usually work with visual knowledge, Wikimedia Commons, metrics, and structured data, as well as topics related to culture and heritage (GLAM-Wiki).
